Stocks markets have fallen sharply because of fears of global recession. Bombay Stock Market has been the worst sufferer and has shed more than 1000 points. Stock Markets in Pakistan are also not performing. The Karachi Stock Exchange, which was being regarded as the best performing market in the region has also taken its toll. A “floor” has been placed due which has prevented sharp decline in prices of shares. This floor was to be removed on Monday, but it has been decided to extend it for some more days.
It is feared that once this floor is removed, the Stock Market will crash which will result in heavy losses. It is also feared that foreign investors may take their investment out once the floor is removed which will further complicate the problems.
